Scuba Diving for Kids (Ages 8-9)

Sail Caribbean Diving believes that a passion for the ocean starts young. We offer two courses for children; PADI Bubblemaker and PADI Seal Team. Both are a perfect introduction for young ones to get them used to breathing underwater, opening their eyes to the ocean, the feeling of weightlessness and inspiring them to become ocean advocates.

PADI Bubblemaker

This is a fantastic course for an introduction to exploring the ocean. Divers are given full scuba equipment and under direct supervision of one of our a PADI Instructors can explore the calm, clear waters to see what awesome creatures they can find!

PADI Seal Team

The PADI Seal Team is an adventure like no other. Each participant will need to complete 5 AquaMissions in a swimming pool to earn their PADI Seal Team membership. Children can practice mission skills, hone safety skills, learn about the aquatic environment, and most importantly have fun! Those who want more can earn their Master Seal Team Certification by completing up to 15 additional missions.

Introduction to Scuba Diving

Are you ready to try something new? Don’t have time to get certified but still want to dive? Not sure if scuba diving is for you? Then the PADI Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) is perfect for you!

PADI Discover Scuba Diving (DSD)

This fantastic opportunity includes an orientation to scuba diving and becoming familiar with scuba equipment on the beach. Then we have a short skills section in shallow water usually conducted at Cooper or Norman Island. Once you are comfortable, we will then board our dive boat and make the short trip to a nearby reef or wreck (including the Rhone!) to explore the underwater world!

If you would like to do multiple open water dives on your trip you will not need to repeat the skills session so long as you are with one of our PADI Dive Instructors.

Getting Certified

Do you want access to a lifetime of adventure in scuba diving? The PADI Open Water Diver certification is your ticket to worldwide exploration. This certification allows you to book dive excursions, rent scuba equipment, obtain air-fills and also enroll in PADI Continuing Education courses

PADI Open Water Diver

During the course students learn the fundamentals of scuba diving, including scuba equipment care and use, buoyancy techniques, safety skills and dive planning. There are three sections to this course; theory, 5 confined water dives and 4 open water dives in which we can explore some fantastic dive sites in the BVI.

After you’ve completed the theory at home using the PADI e-learning website, you then have two options for certification. You can either complete the confined water dives with your local dive centre at home, or with us in the BVI from our beautiful beach before the open water dives.

PADI Scuba Diver

If you are limited for time or are not quite sure about a full certification consider the PADI Scuba Diver certification, in which you can dive under the direct supervision of a PADI professional. Complete 3 academic modules via e-learning, 3 confined water dives and 2 open water dives and you’re good to go! You can easily upgrade to PADI Open Water Diver certification by completing the remainder of the Open Water course anytime, anywhere, under the supervision of any PADI Instructor.

If you are already a Scuba Diver and want to upgrade so you can have the freedom of a PADI Open Water Diver certification, bring us your card and we’ll arrange everything for you!
